Cristian Cardenas

Here is my story:
           
Though I have close family ties to Santiago, Chile, I was born in Alexandria, Virginia, USA due to my family’s diplomatic status. These earlier experiences as a ‘citizen of the world’ have contributed immensely to the make up of my life experiences up to now where I have studied and worked in different parts of the world. This has undoubtedly provided me important exposure, knowledge, and appreciation for living and working with people of many diverse cultural backgrounds and languages. 

Some of my fondest earlier memories originate from places like Brasilia, Brazil and London, England. In Brazil, where I learned to communicate in Portuguese, I remember fondly the warmth and energy of the Brazilian people and country, and the way they openly embraced my family. In London, where I lived for 6 years, I enjoyed the history, culture, music and art scene. Adapting to the languages people speak as well as the way they speak them, has always been an added cultural challenge I have met and enjoyed.

Traveling back to my native Chile after London, I went to college and got a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During the last 3 summers of college, I exhibited signs of an entrepreneurial kind and created an Adventure Tourism company with a good friend where we took people trekking to the Torres del Paine National Park. After finishing college, however, I pursued professional experience in a multinational company where I worked for 4 years. My entrepreneurial inclinations pulled me back, but this time into the wine retail business. It is here where I continued to build on my business skills and savvy as well as developed my passion for fine wine and the good things in life. It is through the talking about the good things in life over a few glasses of wine and dancing Flamenco where I had the good fortune to meet my wife. Finally, it is the wine and gourmet business that brought my wife and I to Miami Beach.

Miami Beach has become our home and adds to the international thread of my life which started so many years ago. It is in this melting pot of different cultures where I have discovered professional opportunities that continue to feed into my entrepreneurial nature as well as capitalize on the variety of personal and professional life experiences I have had to date. I really appreciate the fact that I have found a field where I can use my strengths to combine my life experiences and passions, and I look forward to be able to help you find that perfect place for you in Miami Beach!
