Michael I. Pappas – President
Michael I. Pappas is President of The Keyes Company, a Miami-based real estate company with over 30 offices and numerous divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates throughout Florida. Keyes is the 23rd largest brokerage firm and one of the largest independent real estate brokers in the United States. A native Miamian, Mr. Pappas graduated from North Carolina's Wake Forest University, where he majored in business and Spanish.
Mr. Pappas embarked on his successful real estate career in 1980 when he joined Keyes as a sales associate in the Fort Lauderdale office. He subsequently managed the Coral Springs and then the Coral Gables offices before his promotion to regional manager of Dade County in 1985. In 1988, Michael Pappas joined the executive ranks of the company when he was promoted to the position of Vice-President and General Sales Manager for the entire Keyes operation. In his executive post, Mr. Pappas formed the Fine Homes Division that markets and sells exclusive luxury homes.
In 1992, he took over the helm as company president. As part of an ambitious expansion plan, he has engineered the acquisition of a dozen real estate firms across the state. As a result, he was chosen as the Real Estate "Up and Comer of the Year" by Price Waterhouse and South Florida magazine. During his tenure with Keyes, Mr. Pappas has produced more than $100 million in residential and commercial property sales. In 1987 he was honored by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and in 1992 he earned the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation.
Although he devotes most of his time to The Keyes Company, Mr. Pappas' participates in various community and real estate organizations. He is actively involved in the Miami Board of Realtors, is on the Board of Directors for both the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, and is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO).
Mr. Pappas has also served as a director of the Florida Association of Realtors' Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Real Estate Division for United Way of Miami-Dade County. He is a past president of Westminster Christian School and was on the Citizens Board of the University of Miami. Mr. Pappas is an avid runner and has completed two marathons and won the CEO division of Home Depot 1998 Miami Corporate Run. He is married to Kathy and is the father of five children.
Timothy Pappas – Vice President
Vice President - Chief Financial Officer for The Keyes Company. Tim is responsible for directing all corporate accounting activities for the company's various business units including commercial and residential real estate, mortgage and title and other company divisions.
A Certified Public Accountant and Real Estate Broker, Tim has over twenty years of experience in financial management and real estate operations.
Theodore J. Pappas – Chairman
Theodore J. (Ted) Pappas is the Chairman of the Board of The Keyes Company Realtors, Florida's largest independent, unaffiliated real estate company. Pappas moved to Florida from Michigan in 1955 and joined The Keyes Company as a branch sales manager in 1962. He was named Keyes' Chairman in 1969. Under his leadership, the company has grown from less than 100 sales associates to a commercial and residential sales force of more than 1,200 in more than 30 offices throughout South and Central Florida.
Long involved in real estate, civic, and religious activities, Mr. Pappas, a Rotarian, serves on the following boards:
